DURANGO-SILVERTERON WINTER PHOTOGRAPHERS TRAIN

(February 14, 2016)

The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Train offers an exciting opportunity to passengers on their winter photographers train. Photographers ride the train into the remote wilderness of the San Juan National Forest where they disembark at pre-determined locations along the route.  The train then backs out of view and once instructed by the conductor, with two long blasts of the whistle, it proceeds toward the photo line with smoke and steam hissing and blasting in the cold mountain air. Once out of sight, the train then returns to pick up the passengers and take them to the next photo run-by. This is a great trip for photographers and train lovers alike.

Thank-you to the Durango Narrow Gauge Train Conductor, Staff & Volunteers for a great trip.
